For us it would be helpful if the automatically sent mail, when registering for an event, could be customized (e.g. with information and requirements for the event).
In addition, it would make sense for us if we could specify in the event settings that registration is only possible until e.g. 3 days before the event.

Hey all Voters on this one,
I am closing this feature request as complete.
It has two parts:
Part one is the wish to be able to send out event specific information to all registered attendees. In this ticket, Bastian would have liked to send this information together with the automatic "You have been signed up" email.
Well, we didn't implement exactly this, but something very, very similar: https://linchpin.canny.io/events/p/automatic-event-reminder. With the upcoming release 5.7 of the Linchpin Suite, scheduled for end of August, you will be able to send out up to five different messages to all attendees, at specified times before or after the event.
So, while it's not the exact same implementation that was asked for here, I think it does solve the problem of "how do I get important information to my attendees?"
Part two is a registration deadline, which we addressed in another Canny ticket: https://linchpin.canny.io/events/p/close-event-registration. This has already been implemented and released with Linchpin Suite 5.6 earlier this year. :)
