Good news on this one! This feature is now available in Linchpin Suite 5.0 and Linchpin Events 3.5.6. :)

Daniel Roller: is there any update on this? We really want to be able to use blogs for this purpose instead of pages. Our Confluence Best Practices advise our users to use Blogs for any sort of transient, point-in-time communication, and reserve pages for much more evergreen/persistent resources. Having to use Pages for events goes directly against that practice, which is based on common best practices for managing environments like ours. We'd be very open to helping with any sort of testing or feedback on this if at all possible.
