My Apps vs All Apps
When going to "add apps", the user gets confused on what "all apps" means compared to "my apps". It would be much easier to understand if there was just all apps, maybe a one-phrase saying "You can add or remove apps from your launchpad by starring or un-starring them. Grey stars are compulsory apps which your administrator wants you to always see." Then you can easily add a quick filter button near the search called "view only my apps"
Trace "usage" of apps
As an admin, I would like to know which apps are set as favorites by how many users. This way I can identify apps that are not or seldomly favored. Obviously, this is only relevant for non-mandatory apps ;-)
"Suggest an app" popup window should have more fields for user input (+ administrators can decide)
The "Suggest an App" functionality (popup window) has only 3 fields (Title, URL, Description) for user input. It would be great if more fields (all available fields for Apps) can be displayed (E.g. Contact, Icon, Categories, etc.). Best case: Administrators can add/remove the additional fields (+ decide if fields should be required) for the "Suggest an App" popup window that is displayed to the users.
Ability to select layout
- big or small icons - show as table (as is now: more apps = more lines) or as one line (scroll right-left when more apps) - with or without title (add title/description as caption or hover pop-up) - no background colour (currently grey) + less padding between the apps
Categorize Saved for Later pages
Similar to the option available for favored contacts, it would be great to be able to categorize favored pages as well.
Show all apps in Macro
I want to have the option to add a macro on a page that not only shows specific apps, but that is able to show any available app on in the system.
User can Create own Applications
The User have the Ability to create his own Application (just the user who created them can use them)
User can categorize apps
As a user, I want to categorize my selected apps, just like I can with my favored user contacts.
Ability for an admin to rename "Launchpad" to align with internal naming conventions
As a Linchpin admin, I want to rename the term "Launchpad" in one admin setting, so that the terminology aligns with our internal naming conventions. For example, we have a service that is named "Launchpad", so this is causing some confusion with our users.
