To ensure a similar user experience on desktop and mobile, findability is a key factor. Thus, the navigation of the and mobile version should be coordinated with the desktop version.

We had a closer look at this request again and currently there are no plans for a complete overhaul of Linchpin Mobile navigation concept.

What we still consider for a future app release is a way for Confluence administrators to customize navigation based on individual needs (e.g., adding custom links to internal and external URLs). 100% agreed. We spend so much time setting up a proper menu, and it's disappointing to see it not reflected on the mobile app.
