Filters that build on one another and that only allow values in the second filter that also appear in the previous search result would make the search for contact persons in the person directory really easier.

I did run it by the team, but I have bad news. With the architecture underneath the people directory, it's not possible to implement this without running into huge performance problems. It probably wouldn't be an issue with small systems of a few hundred users, but for the larger ones with thousands or tens of thousands users it wouldn't work.

So, because I don't see us changing the architecture (not even sure if we could, since we depend on Confluence), I'll close this issue. I'm sorry!

Thanks for the suggestion, @man@manfred-hoffken. Since we are working at the filters right now, I'll run that by my team to see if we can integrate that easily.
