Allow two-way synchronisation for all field types

Hi Dev Team,
we noticed a problem with the bidirectional sync between Confluence and AD for multi-select dropdown fields.
Although the option "Write user input to LDAP attribute" is now available for multi-select fields, the sync only works partially:
When a user selects multiple values, only the first value is written to AD. All additional selected values are ignored.
Expected behavior: All selected values (ideally comma-separated) should be synced to the configured AD attribute.
Please check if this is a bug or an unsupported case. Right now, the feature doesn’t work as expected.
As shown in the screenshots:
One shows the Confluence profile where I selected two languages – Italian and Chinese.
The other shows our AD, where only the first selected language (Italian) appears in extensionAttribute11.
I also triggered the AD sync manually, but still, only one value is being synced – not all selected ones.
Thanks,
BR
Enrico

Angela Gaida
enrico: It's planned for the regular feature release in April. If that doesn't work out because something unexpected happens, it will be released with the next regular feature release in August. But I am hopeful that April will work out.

Hello everyone, I have a question regarding the two-way synchronization of Confluence and AD. We already had this set up months ago, but we only have 2 fields that allow two-way synchronization. So the language field and the first and fire safety assistant field. Double-sided means that if an employee enters something in these two fields, this entry is synchronized in an AD attribute field. However, we want to give the employee answer options so that they cannot make mistakes. For the first responder and fire safety responder field, we were able to display it as a simple dropdown and the sync. works. It does not work with the languages, because there we need a multiple selection dropdown, because you could speak several languages but these cannot be integrated into the AD Sync. So the option "Write user entries to the LDAP attribute" is no longer offered/displayed in the multiple selection dropdown.
