Anniversary macro, that lists the user that celebrate a birthday / Job anniversary today
Angela Gaida
I merged two issues regarding a anniversary / birthday macro, since they are describing very similar use cases.
For everyone voting for this, please note: with the People Search & List macro you can already set up a dynamic list (see screenshot).
However, this is currently limited to date profile fields without the year. So I'm assuming, if we make it possible to use these options (next 7 days, next 30 days, etc.) with date fields that contain the full date, including the year, a lot of these use cases will be covered.

Angela Gaida Having this feature for the date field that includes the year and with a bigger span of dates to choose from (e.g. next / last 3 months) would be perfect.

Merged in a post:
People search macro: dynamic dates to show birthdays, new employees etc.

Currently, the people search macro can be configured to show dates. However, the date can only be entered statically. One has to explicitly mention a date (e.g. 01.01.2024). We would like to place a macro on the Dashboard and configure it with a dynamic date (e.g. today, next three months etc.).
Use cases:
- Show who joined the company within the last N months
- Show who is joining the company in the next N months
- Show who has company anniversary today
- Show who has birthday today
Confluence already has this functionality built-in with CQL functions, but they do not work with the people search macro.

Hello,
we also have a requirement for a birthday calendar that shows the next 5 birthdays in the dashboard for example. This would also be very interesting because the birthday itself is entered by the user - or not.

The work on a proper date field is progressing nicely and will be finished in time for the next feature releases of LUP / the Suite respectively, which is planned for end of April / start of May.
I'm not positive about a dedicated birthday macro, since we have a lot on our plate until then. That's why I don't put this particular issue on "in progress" status. But it will be possible to use this date field within the Custom User List macro, so a bunch of use cases will be made possible. Also, the people directory will be able to filter by this new date field.

A possibility for automatic congratulations on a birthday or company anniversary would be interesting.
Possibly as Addon App, in which you can define the profile field for birthday or entry date and then automatically send a definable text to the jubilarian.
At the same time, profile editors should also be able to define a person or group for each employee, who will be informed additionally. For example, the supervisor or an assistant to prepare a gift.
This information should also have a number of days' lead time.

In order for a macro like this to work properly, we will need an improved date field type, that actually stores a date in the database. Although it might look like it in a user's profile, the date field is not really a date.
But we are working on a proper date field type at the moment, because we also need it for filter options in the people directory; so when that's done, we can revisit this macro idea :)

Our Culture team has expressed interested in this kind of functionality. Employees receive gifts for their birthdays & company anniversaries; this feature would make maintaining that list easier, and would enable better engagement around celebrations between employees.
