Changed Profile Alert (Admin)

We are a large org that is trying to manage key info on our employees and consultants.
Use case: User Profile Admins can either create a report or get alerted when and what information a user changes on their profile.
This way we can reconcile human intelligence with titles/roles, seating charts, reporting managers, etc against other data sources such as HR and Facilities.

Hey Devin Moss, I have a question regarding your idea. What exactly is it you want to achieve? Are the other data sources (HR, Facilities...) correct and complete and you want to make sure that users' profiles are up to date?
Or is it the other way around, users enter a new or changed information, and you want that information to be transferred to the outside data sources?
In both cases, I'd rather have mechanisms to synch both sets of data automatically (which, in part, is already possible), than to have people do that by hand on the basis of alerts or a report.

Hi Angela Gaida: It's both and neither. Currently each dept only collects the data they need. There is some crossover, but also gaps. An automated way to manage this would be LOVELY, but our LDAP is limited in the user info it maintains.
Is there another automated mechanism that you were referring to?

Devin Moss: Thanks for the explanation. For the already existing things I was referring to the LDAP synch, yes. Plus, in a few weeks we'll be working on a synch with IDPs. So if there's other systems out there that contain user data, we could at least have a look, if a synch is possible.
