This will be available with Linchpin User Profiles version 3.4, Linchpin Essentials 2.4 and Linchpin Intranet Suite 5.4. Those releases will happen later this year, so if you don't want to wait and very urgently need this feature, please reach out to us via seibert.biz/help so we can provide you with a pre release version.

thank you, we appreciate your suggestion! 
As you know we upgraded our people dictionary search. Currently you are able to configure field types like selection, multiple selection, language, country and user. Our approach is to add from time to time more field types. 
At the moment we are working on concepts to make it easier to configure linchpin - which is why continuing working on the People Directory will take some time.
