Possibility to exclude users from OrgChart

We have the same usecase like Marco Leist, orgcharts and structurcharts based on userprofiles should not contain system- or external users, but configurable at the makro-gui. Same task on the standard user list insight confluence (Personenverzeichnis), based of linchpin user profiles. Offline communication with angela in conclusion with a support-request gave me an impression about the complexity of implementation of such a filter or macro-feature. But anyway, when we want to use userprofile-details in lists or charts, these makros must have a filter feature to make these user disappeared, we won´t see on presentation-side in this context as well.

I merged the two tickets, one for the Org Charts and one for the Structural Chart, because if we implement an "exclude" feature, we'd build it for both variants anyway.
I'm still very curious about the different use cases you might have for an exclude feature. That would help us to figure out how to do it in an efficient and useful way.

Functionality to exclude users from Structural Charts

We have a lot of employees who do not have a personal account. They work with collective users which are for the whole team/department. These users should not be shown on the structural chart as associated users.
Could you implement a possibility to exclude them in the configuration of connected profile fields?
In our case we would like to have all users of the team but not those with the position-attribute "functional user"

This feature request seems related to this one for Org Charts: https://linchpin.canny.io/linchpin-user-profiles/p/possibility-to-exclude-users-from-orgchart
Angela asked for some more details regarding the use case there, so before merging the two, I'll ask her if that covers it :)

To all the voters here, we discussed this issue within the team and encountered a problem. Doing this would have major drawbacks in terms of performance in the Org Chart, which is not the greatest to begin with.
So in order to understand your need for this feature better and to hopefully find viable solutions, could you who have voted for this, please share why you want it? What kind of users do you have that have their "superior" field filled but you don't want them to show up? And why is just leaving the superior field blank not an option in your case?
