Thanks to all of you who provided feedback on this topic. We'll start with implementation for this feature in the next few weeks and are optimistic to have it done by the end of this year.
We'll keep you updated on the progress and provide an estimation for the release timeframe soon.

* Reminders should be configurable by editors
* For individual reminder messages and time
* No need for global configuration
* System administrators should be able to enable / disable reminders generally

We will be looking at this issue more intensively in the upcoming weeks. To help us provide exactly the solution that best supports you in your daily work, we have the following questions for you:
- Should email reminders be configurable by event editors on a per-event level or by system administrators across the board?
- Do you need event editors to be able to provide an individual reminder message on a per-event level or only system administrators to provide a generic message for all events?
- Should the time for email reminders be configurable by event editors on a per-event level or by system administrators across the board?
- Should system administrators be able to enable/disable reminders generally for events?
Thanks for your feedback on this!

Daniel Roller:
1) Reminders should be configurable by editors
2) Yes for individual reminder messages and time
3) In my opinion, there is no need for administrators to enable/disable reminders generally, if those are configurable by editors
A first improvement could be to give administrators the possibility to set reminder messages an time. Individual configuration options for editors would be top.

Daniel Roller: Email reminders should be configurable by event editor on a perevent level.
Nice to have would be an individual reminder message.
The time for Email reminders should be configurable by event editors on a per-event level.
System administrators should be able to enable / disable reminders generally and for each event (in case the event editor is not available).
Thanks for asking :-)

Daniel Roller: Hi Daniel, in my book:
- email should be configurable by event editors on a per-event level
- I need event editors to be able to provide an individual reminder message on a per-event level
- the time for email reminders should be configurable by event editors on per-event level
- Yes!
I look forward to the new release!

Daniel Roller:
1) By event creators / editors! And make it mandatory in days / hours or none is my suggestion.
2) Both, when an individual message on an event is set it overrules the generic message.
3) Mandatory when creating an event. Configuring the default by an administrator.
4) Yes, by setting the default to “none”.

This feature came up during our configuration workshop, and would be a huge benefit for us too!

Related to this, it would be useful to be able to configure a default reminder time for the ICS files which are sent by e-mail. Currently, there is no reminder time included in the ICS files.

We will review this request as well and l'll provide you with an update as soon as the dev team had the chance to take a closer look from a technical perspective.
