Allow to restrict events individually on per user and per group basis
Allow to restrict each event individually on a per group basis (in addition to the already available per user or per space basis).
Allow defining event editors based on space permissions
Currently, event editors can be Confluence users or Confluence groups. In some use cases, it might make sense to allow entering spaces as well (e.g. when using a combination of spaces as visibility restriction, if there is no Confluence group with exactly those members). It might be expected that only users with edit permissions in the given spaces would be able to edit the event, causing potential confusion/inconsistency because entering the same input as for event visibility might not give the same results (visible to everyone in these spaces, editable only for space editors). If allowing spaces as input for event editor permissions would help you, feel free to comment which version you think fits your situation better!
XML or csv export for 3rd party post processing
For several purposes like budgeting or certification we ask for an option to export an event with all attendees etc. as a file. Details of the attendees profiles should be included as it contains other relevant information such as location or superior.
At the moment each event has a single start and end date/time. For recurring events it would save a lot of time if there would be an option to mark the event as a series in weekly/biweekly or custom rhythm.
Overview of events that I'm attending
I want to have an overview of all events that I'm attending in order to improve my time management. Also I want to have a list of events that I attended in the past.
'Create event' permission
As a Confluence administrator I want to grant / revoke the permission to create new events individually for each user / group of users. With this permission I can guarantee that only users eligible to create new events are able to do so.
Improve email notification template
Currently, if some user sing up an event, Confluence will send a notification email to him, and attach an ics file as attachment, only after user open this ics file and accept it, the event will be displayed in his outlook calendar. But actually, many users will ignore the attached ics file. Could Event Hub add some sentences into the mail, such as: please open the attached file and add it into calendar?
Include Events in the Lucene Search
Events should be included in the Lucene search. Most events do not have a dedicated Event page which would allow to index them in the lucene search.
Links (for google maps) in Event Location
The Location Text field in the event descriptions should render URLs as clickable links, so that one can enter a Google Maps link and Users can navigate to it. Ideal would be if Google Maps links are parsed further so that they display the Name of the Location and the users can click on it.
