We also need this function. We have designed our intranet with team spaces having a sharing area but also a 'messy back office' area where the team calendar and draft content would go. I don't want to have to make two spaces for each team just to be allowed to make calendars without all the events being published to everyone. Please help with this.
Thanks.

It would be great, if in a future release the feature "Sign others up" would be not longer hard-coupled to "Write permission for space" - as this does not seem logical to most users.

We've just started with refining event permissions making it possible to set edit permissions for an event at user (group) level. We'll give you another update as soon as there's something to show :-)

View restrictions as well as Edit and delete are highly necessary :)

Constance: There's good news - a first conceptual draft for this is already in the making. We hope to start implementation within the next four weeks :-)

Events such as trainings are organized for very specific targeted audience. When they were published in pages with view restricted to that audience, only allowed people could see the event in the home dashboard calendar. Since the change to 2.0 after Confluence upgrade, now everybody can see any event in public spaces whatever restricted existed on the page. That's a major set back.

Malysa Martin: Thanks for your feedback on this channel! We're currently looking at permission management for events from a conceptual perspective and hope we can start with implementation in the next sprints. Will keep you updated on the progress.
