Time Slots per Event
complete

It would be super helpful to have time slots per event which can be defined with duration and capacity - and which users can register for individually.
We often need to have our users register for specific time slots.
Instead of adding an event per time slot (which can be hundreds for 5 minute slots)
Examples:
- Vaccination slots at corporate medicine
- Profile pic shooting slots with our photograph
- HR consultation slots

I'm happy to announce that this feature is completed and (partially) shipped. For those of you using Linchpin Events as a standalone app, you'll find the feature in version 3.8 that is available in the Atlassian Marketplace as of now.
For everyone using the Linchpin Intranet Suite, you'll find version 5.4 in the Marketplace tomorrow - we are just now completing the last tasks surrounding the release.

Angela Gaida: Hi Angela,
this is such a great opportunity. Thanks for that.
Is there a possibility that in the creation of an event you can directly define a slot that can't be booked due to break for example? Currently I would have to create two events (one in the morning, one in the afternoon). Or i need to block these slots by myselfe.
Kindly,
Monic

Hey Monic Albertie,
I'm happy to hear that you like this feature :)
Indeed, at the moment it's not possible to block single timeslots for breaks for example. We chose not to include this possibility in the first iteration of the feature, because it was a pretty large chunk of development as is. But we definitely talked about this as something we could implement in the future. Please feel free to create a new ticket here in Canny that describes exactly that idea, so that we can gauge interest for this feature.

We are very happy to see this working like a charm. What we are missing though: When listing the registered participants (or export them as CSV) we have no clue, which user has booked which time slot. Sometimes this is important to know for the event creators. Maybe this can be added with a future version :)
Angela Gaida
Jan Priebe: Thanks a lot for that suggestion! Would you mind creating a new Canny item for this please? We really want to rely a lot on Canny votes to prioritize future development. :)

It would be great if there were a main event (similar to today's Linchpin Events feature) and an optional possibility to create sub-events (which could be a specific timeslot and/or workshop session) belonging to the main event.

Just a quick update on this one. After a lot of stuff has been going on behind the scenes, we are now ready to start into development for this feature. If you haven't commented or reached out to us in the past, now is the time to tell us more about your use case for this feature, what exactly you envision to be able to do and what else we need to know as we start coding :)
According to our plans, this feature will be available with our next release coming up in Fall of 2022.

Hey everybody, hope you are all fine!
We would like to take a closer look at time slots for events over the next few weeks in order to develop a design concept. Our initial focus will be on lightweight events that use time slots to allocate individual appointments to different employees. Please note that we are intentionally excluding more complex events such as conferences with multiple speaker tracks for the time being.
We would be happy to discuss your requirements for such a feature with you. If you would like to actively participate in the further development of this feature, please contact us here so that we can arrange a meeting or pick a calendar slot via https://seibert.biz/linchpinevents30.
Thank you very much for your support!
