A single macro for personal and corporate news.
One stream necessary to see all news at a glance. Advantage of personal subscription in personal news and configuration in corporate news necessary. Mandatory subscription is not enough, because rule dependent content (e.g. location specific)is missing. only Corporate News is not enough on the other side, because personal subscription is missing.

is this Feature Request now completely off the roadmap or are there at least plans to implement this in - let's say - the next 12 Month?
We still see a big benefit in this.
Here a feedback from a Manager: "From our point of view, this is a very important step. Currently, the personal newsfeed is located in a tab for space reasons and is therefore not perceived by users. It would be nice if we could say: "Hey, you can subscribe to individual channels here. But important corporate content will always be shown to you too".

Current it is't possible to get news form different spaces with different labels or one space with label one space without label.
A Solution
So add CQL requests as news-sources: Example
cql=siteSearch ~ "ExampleSearchText" and space = "SpaceXYZ" and label = "labelxyz" AND label != "show-in-overview"&queryString=ExampleSearchText

As you can see, this didn't happen yet. I still would like to implement it, but at the moment we have to focus our resources more on our strategic goals for the product.

Thank you for your suggestion, W.R. Lutz. We are already planning something to the same effect. If you have a look at the news modules you can configure within the News Magazines: they have a much more flexible way of defining the sources for news that doesn't require knowledge of CQL of the user. But of course, in the background they translate to CQL.
We want to integrate the same thing into the News Feed and Cover Stories macros, I just can't give an ETA at the moment.

We are currently working on a concept that not only integrates both macros into one, but also allows for a more flexible way of defining the news sources (the way it's done in the news magazines), plus putting an offset in, so you can have for example 4 news in the Cover Stories macro and then news #5 and following in the new News Feed macro.
Implementation will probably follow after we're done with the concept, but I cannot promise a more specific time than "probably during the next 15 weeks".

At this point also thanks for the great further development of the Linchpin Suite within the PIs during the last months!

We are glad to hear that you like the latest developments of the Linchpin Suite!
Even though it is still very important for us, it will take more time until we can start to develop. The concept is already done, but unfortunately this feature is not part of the current PI.

Just a little addition after some discussions with communications: It would be important to have a filter Option for the User - to be able to show only personal or only corporate news.

Marco Leist: At this point I cannot promise anything about the timeline, I'm sorry. We might consider it for implementation toward the middle of the year, but that's not sure as of yet. I'll comment here when I can tell you more.
