Configurable waiting time for mandatory news
complete
Angela Gaida
Right now, if you click the "read later" button, the mandatory news appear again after each page reload. It would make more sense if it appeared again a day later or maybe if the duration of that time would be configurable by the admin.

This has been implemented and will be part of our release in August 2023.
The title of this issue speaks of a configurable waiting time. This is not quite correct anymore. we implemented the waiting time just like in Linchpin Pings: Users can choose to read the mandatory news now, or be reminded an hour or a day later.

We would like to see this feature too. It can be quite annoying if you are working concentrated or just do not have the time to read a mandatory news (or ping) right away. The creator of the message should have the option to allow a read later at all in my opinion as there could be a message that MUST be read right away.
Does the status change to 'open' in March mean that this will not be looked into anymore?

Optimize Button "read later" in mandatory News

If there ist a mandatory News and I read aktually some other information or work on a Site then i klick the button "read later" because i first want to finish what i do now. But if i klick to next Site or refresh the Site the mandatory news appears again.
It will be helpful if i can choose time when i want to read it again e.g. in 30 Minutes or 1 hour.
