We are using the Blueprint Creator to create news based on templates. We would like to add metadata of the Linchpin Enterprise News to the template so it will be easier for our editors to create news in the right way.

Update: We have released the new version of the Blueprint Creator today that comes with the Linchpin Enterprise News integration! :)

To check out this new feature you either have to wait for Linchpin Intranet Suite version 3.4 release that is scheduled for next week or install the latest Linchpin Enterprise News app version.

It's still a bit too early to announce an ETA, but within the first quarter of 2020 seems doable. Right now we are working on the finer points of a first step of an integration and I hope we'll be able to start implementing this in January.

I'd like to give you an update on this topic: Right now we are in the process of defining the technical side of this idea.

Every time you want two different apps to "talk to each other", you have to be careful not to introduce dependencies, or you'll run into trouble further down the road, like for example: every time one app has an update, the other app has to be updated, too, so you have to coordinate release dates, inform customers, update both at once, etc. That's why we want to make sure the technical side of things is properly planned and thought through. :)

Anna Floretta Mach indeed we have thought about that one already, and I think it's a very good idea. Cannot promise a concrete ETA, but it's a ticket in our backlog for sure :)
