Integrate Linchpin Events and Launchpad Apps as content types for Confluence search filter
Olaf Stehr
Currently, Linchpn Events cannot be found in the Confluence Search.
Launchpad Apps can be found, but have no content type associated which could be used to filter the search results. It also seams that Launchpad Apps are treated differently in the ranking of search results. They always appear at the top of the result list.
Our desired behavoir would be that Linchpin Events and Launchpad Apps are treated as additional content types and ranked according the the same rules as all the other content types.

We had a first look at this issue with the dev team. Of course it's possible to implement this, it would be a huge amount of work though. So I don't expect this to be on the roadmap anytime soon, unless it gathers a lot of interest.
I am interested though: Why would you prefer to have apps and events show up in the general search, why not search on the dedicated pages (Launchpad and Event Hub)?

Angela Gaida: Users often do not know (or have forgotten) that the event hub exists and that it can be used to search for events. So finding events in the global search would be rather convenient for users expecting that they can find any item via the search.

Matthias Lutz: Ah, I see, thanks for explaining. I have a few ideas that might be a bit more lightweight but achieve the same or a similar result for that problem, but I'll have to check with the dev team first. :)

Make events searchable
Olaf Stehr
Please make Linchpin Events compatible to the Confluence search filters, so that I can explicitely search for Events as content type and also that I can filter for events from specific spaces or space categories etc.

Include Events in the Lucene Search

Events should be included in the Lucene search. Most events do not have a dedicated Event page which would allow to index them in the lucene search.
