Pings-Subscription for space categories or types

As an administrator, I want to be able to offer users a set of spaces for subscription in the Pings module. The list of available spaces should be based on space categories and/or space types, e.g. all collaboration spaces or all spaces from all communications departments.

Hey Peter Scheidt,
thanks for your idea. I'd like to better understand the use case behind it. 
The Pings module for offering subscriptions to news spaces is meant to point users to new spaces that offer news. It's not meant to list the complete array of spaces with news, as this is easily accessible from within the macro. 
Could you describe to me the situation of the user that would receive such a Ping? What's the goal or what's the problem you want to solve for that user?

Angela Gaida: The user should subscribe to his collaboration spaces. All of these are of space type "collaboration" and can be a space of a project, a department, a location etc.

In some scenarios, there are hundreds of such spaces, and while a specific user will only be able to see a small subset of those, as an admin, I would need to add all spaces one by one to the ping.

Peter Scheidt: Ah, I see. And the user only sees a subset because they only have permissions for a limited set, right?
